New Delhi, March 21: Amid the corona choas in India, where the number of infected persons has reached to 264 by Saturday, the Ministry of Railways on Saturday confirmed four of its passengers travelling by Godan Express to have tested positive for the novel corona virus. The Godan Express travelling between Mumbai to Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh was carrying a load full of passengers.

"Railways has found that 4 passengers who travelled on Godan Express (Train 11055) from Mumbai to Jabalpur on March 16 have been tested positive for #COVID19. They came to India from Dubai last week. All concerned have been alerted to take necessary action", the Ministry of Railways confirmed.
 
Also, 8 passengers who had travelled on AP Sampark Kranti Express from Delhi to Ramagundam on 13th March have tested positive of COVID-19 yesterday. While such cases are found, the railways has requested the public to not to travel on passenger and long distance trains unless absolutely necessary. "Be safe and keep others safe", it said.
Meanwhile, the Central Railways ahead of the Janata Curfew on March 22, decided to cancel the mega block, further announcing that it will run approximately 60% suburban services on Sunday. "Central Railway will run approximately 60% suburban services on 22 March. The Sunday mega block schedule on the Main and HB line has been cancelled for 22nd March. There will be no mega block tomorrow", the statement read.
Novel coronavirus cases in India have reached to 264 on Saturday after 35 fresh cases were reported in various parts of the country, according to the Health Ministry. Among the 258 are 39 foreign nationals, including 17 from Italy, three from the Philippines, two from the UK, one each belonging to Canada, Indonesia and Singapore.
