Mumbai, Mar 23: Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray today announced statewide curfew to deal more effectively with the #Coronavirus crisis.

Making this announcement Uddhav Thackeray said that he was “compelled” to impose a curfew throughout the state.

“Today I am compelled to announce a statewide curfew. People were not listening nd we are compelled”, he said.

The Chief Minister also said that the state has decided to seal the borders of the districts of the state from midnight today.

Three people have died from coronavirus infection and 89 positive cases were detected in the state. 14 new cases are reported from Mumbai and one from Pune thus making the densely populated Mumbai=Pune industrial belt most vulnerable to the crisis.
