EAM Jaishankar to help Indian family to bring back mortal remains those killed in Kabul Attack

New Delhi, March 26: The External Minister S Jaishankar has assured to help Tian Singh's family who had earlier written a letter to PM Narendra Modi concerning to facilitate and arrange an immediate transportation airlift of the mortal of Tian Sigh who was killed in the terror attack at a Sikh Gurudwara in Kabul on Wednesday.

According to the reports Tian Singh, who was among those killed in the attack, had traveled to Afghanistan along with his family to visit their relatives and friends. His wife and son have written to PM Modi, appraising him of his death and violence faced by the minorities in Afghanistan.

The letter also mentions that other children of the slain Indian are in the US and UK and are unable to travel to India due to the on-going 21-day lockdown in the country in the wake of the coronavirus crisis.

However, the minister assured the family by tweeting, "Medical opinion against moving injured at this stage. Embassy @IndianEmbKabul is working on the return of the mortal remains of Shri Tian Singh. Will keep you updated,'

Meanwhile Punjab's Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh requested Afghanistan President Ashraf Ghani to find out the perpetrators and look after the Sikh community in the country. Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri took to Twitter to condemn the deadly attack and reminded about the atrocities inflicted on minority communities in some countries.

Heavily gunmen and suicide bombers stormed a Sikh gurdwara in the heart of Kabul on Wednesday, killing at least 11 worshippers and wounding as many, in one of the deadliest attacks on the minority community in the country. The gunmen attacked the gurdwara in the Shor Bazar area at about 7:45 a.m2. (local time) as 150 worshippers were inside the building
