Ahead in the second day of the COVID-19 21 day lock-down in India, it seems that people are still not in a frame of mind to cater to the preventive measures suggested by the government. Well, here is what is happening to them in various states. Here's the update :
 
50 booked for lockdown violation in UP's Muzaffarnagar
 
Fifty people were booked for violating coronavirus lockdown stipulations in Uttar Pradesh's Muzaffarnagar district. According to Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Abhishekh Yadav, 10 cases were registered against the violators on Wednesday. "Strict action will be taken against those found wandering on the roads during the lockdown," he warned. Yadav further noted 855 vehicle owners were fined and 97 vehicles seized for lockdown violation.

Two new COVID-19 cases in Maharashtra; Tally rises to 124
The total number of COVID-19 cases in Maharashtra has gone up to 124 as two more persons tested coronavirus positive on Thursday. "Both are from Mumbai city. We are finding out if they have any travel history", health officials said.
Till Tuesday, 2,988 people were admitted to isolation wards of hospitals since January 18, while 932 persons were in hospital quarantine for suspected exposure to the virus. As many as 14,502 people were put under home quarantine. 
 
Kashmir reports first death due to coronavirus
 
A 65-year-old man hailing from Hyderpora area of the city died on Thursday, becoming the first fatality in Jammu and Kashmir due to coronavirus. "As we share the sad news of our first #Covid19 fatality, my heart goes out to the family of the deceased. We stand with you and share your grief," Mayor of Srinagar Junaid Azim Mattu tweeted.
 
Government spokesperson Rohit Kansal also confirmed the death via Twitter. "First death due to Coronavirus- 65 years old Male from Hyderpora Srinagar. Four of his contacts also tested positive yesterday," Kansal said. Four people had tested positive for coronavirus in J-K on Wednesday, taking the total number of cases to 11.
 
COVID-19 positive cases rise to 41 in Telangana
 
Two fresh cases of COVID-19, including a three-year-old boy, have been reported in Telangana, taking the total number of people infected with the virus in the state to 41 on Thursday. The other case is a 43-year-old woman from Hyderabad city who is "the family/primary contact of a previous positive case", the government said.
 
Late on Tuesday night, three people, including two women, had tested positive for COVID-19. None of the three had any foreign travel history but came in contact with previous positive cases. The state health officials said containment process has been initiated in places where the latest confirmed cases have been detected.
 
Odisha puts 82,248 in self-quarantine
 
The Odisha government has asked 82,248 people to remain in self-quarantine as they have recently returned either from abroad or from other states in view of the novel coronavirus outbreak. The number of COVID-19 patients remained two in Odisha. Meanwhile, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik announced four months' advance salary for doctors, nurses and other medical staff who have been engaged 24x7 in the anti-COVID-19 operation.

About 48,000 employees will be benefited from the governments decision. In another measure, the state government released Covid-19 assistance of Rs 44.5 crore to 30 districts. The state government has also announced incentives for suppliers of medicines to the Odisha State Medical Corporation Limited.
 
TN reports 3 new COVID-19 cases: total goes up to 28
 
Tamil Nadu on Wednesday reported three fresh cases of COVID-19 which include a contact of the second positive case and a 63-year-old man who recently returned from Dubai, State Health Minister C Vijaya Baskar noted. The third patient was a 66-year-old male who had received it from another COVID-19 positive case in Salem. With the latest positive cases, the total number of coronavirus patients in Tamil Nadu gone up to 28.
 
Gujarat records second COVID-19 death
 
An 85-year-old woman died at a government hospital here on Wednesday, becoming the second person to die of COVID-19 in the state, the health department said. She was suffering from many complications. Earlier, a 67-year-old COVID-19 patient died in Surat on March 22.
 
Principal Secretary (Health) Jayanti Ravi said over one crore people, living in areas where COVID-19 cases were found as well as the areas where patients suffering from the severe acute respiratory infection (SARI) and other related complications were reported, have been surveyed.

FIRs were registered against 147 persons for violating quarantine, she informed. As many as 20,688 persons are under quarantine in the state, which includes 20,220 persons in home quarantine, 430 in government facilities and 38 in private facilities.
 
No fresh coronavirus cases detected in Bengal
 
No fresh novel coronavirus cases was detected in West Bengal on Wednesday. Two persons were tested positive on Tuesday, So far, nine people have tested positive for Covid-19 in the state. Of them, one died at a private hospital on Monday afternoon.
 
Lockdown: MP CM announces Rs 1,000 aid for workers
 
Amid the ongoing lockdown to contain the coronavirus epidemic, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Wednesday announced an aid of Rs 1,000 for labourers in the unorganised sector.
 
He also announced that beneficiaries of social security pension scheme, widow pension, old-age pension and destitute pension schemes will get two months' pension in advance. He has also directed that public distribution system (PDS) shops should distribute the food grain ration of April.
 
Chouhan held a review meeting on coronavirus situation in the state through video conference earlier. So far, 15 persons have tested positive for the disease in Madhya Pradesh. A woman diagnosed with COVID-19 died on Wednesday evening.
