Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath performing puja at the new temple
The temporary temple is located at Manas Bhavan in the Ram Janmabhumi premises where the idols are shifted on March 25. Yogi Adityanath also performed puja at the new place and presented a cheque of Rs. 11 lakh for the construction of the temple.
Former Rajya Sabha Member and noted journalist Tarun Vijay said in a twitter comment that after the 500 years of the destruction of Sri Ram Janmabhumi Temple by Mughal invader Babur in 1528, the country witnessed on New Year Day Sri Ram Vighraha being worshipped in a proper puja sthal till a new magnificent temple comes up for Him. It is a historic day. He thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
Along with the idol of Ram Lala, idols of all the three brothers Bharat, Lakshman and Shtrughna and Hanuman were also shifted to this new site amidst chanting of Vedic Mantras at 5 am followed by ‘aarti’.
Yogi Adityanath said on this occasion that with the shifting of these idols from the makeshift temple, the first phase of temple construction was completed. Maryada Purushottam Sri Ram has been moved to the new place.
A team of Vedic Acharyas under the leadership of Acharya Kirtikant Sharma chanted Vedic hymns to purify the surrounding of the new place before shifting the idols. Champat Rai said that idols will remain in this new temporary place till the grand temple is constructed at the Janmabhumi.
