Uri, March 28: While the rest of the world is trying to find ways to combat and contain the coronavirus pandemic, Pakistan seems to blatantly focus on violating ceasefire rather than being concerned about Pakistani citizens where the cases of corona have crossed 1,000. Pakistan violated the ceasefire agreement yet again on Thursday however, the Indian troops said they retaliated to the firing at the Line of Control in Kashmir’s Uri sector on Thursday afternoon.

The firing went on for a few hours in the afternoon which led to damage to a house which was hit by a shell fired by the Pakistani side, however, no loss of life was reported. The Indian Army held Pakistan for the ceasefire violation and said the Indian forces near the LoC retaliated to Pakistani firing. It was noted that the locals claimed that several mortar shells landed in the villages of Mothal, Silikote, Hatlthanga, and Churunda, all located on the zero line. The latest ceasefire violation spread panic in the villages in Uri, especially those close to the LoC.

Since the revocation of article 370, Pakistan has almost regularly violated the ceasefire agreement with an aim to push militants into the valley, the Indian Army has said on several occasions. It was reported that the Indian intelligence authorities had also suspected the involvement of Pakistan’s intelligence services in the attack on a Gurdwara in Kabul early Wednesday morning that killed at least 28 people. The involvement of the ISI backed Haqqani network has not been ruled out despite the banned Islamic State (IS) taking the responsibility for the attack.

According to the latest reports given by the Pakistan government, the number of confirmed cases is nearly 1,235 with Sindh province on the top with 429 patients along with 9 deaths and 7 being in critical condition. Amid the rising concerns, the Pakistan government is not taking up any measure to tackle the virus, however, is busy targeting Indian. On the other hand, the Indian Army, unlike Pakistan, is trying every way possible to help the civilians and also helping the neighboring countries to combat the virus.
