Ayodhya, Mar 6: A delegation of Muslim Rashtriya Manch (MRM) and Sunni Social Forum led by Thakur Raja Raees called on Mahant Nrityagopal Das, Chairman of the Sri Ramjanmabhumi Teerth Kshetra Trust on Thursday and assured him the support of Muslims in the construction of Ram Temple at Ayodhya.

Talking to newsbharati about his visit Thakur Raja Raees, who is also regional convener of MRM and President of Sunni Social Forum, said that this was the first such Muslim delegation to visit Ayodhya and honour Trust’s Chairman Mahant Nrityagopal Das after the Supreme Court verdict and subsequent formation of the trust.

The delegation first visited Nirmohi Akhara and felicitated the Trustee of Sri Ramjanmabhumi Teerth Kshetra Trust Mahant Dinendra Das. Following this the delegation went to ManiramdasChhavani and met the Trust Chairman Mahant Nrityagopal Das and honored him with a shawl and garland.

Responding to the felicitation Mahant Nrityagopal Das said that Muslims in India did not come from outside; they are our brothers and they support the construction of Ram Temple at the birthplace of Sri Ram. He praised the delegation saying that this was the first such Muslim delegation which included Muslim women also, that has called on him and said that they respect Sri Ram as one of the Nabis.

The Trust Chairman further said that the temple construction should not be delayed any further and the ‘muhurt’ for this would soon be finalized in consultation with the pundits and ‘jyotishis’.

Leader of the delegation Thakur Raja Raees said that the delegation included Muslim representatives from 23 districts of Uttar Pradesh. He said that the Muslims feel that temple should be immediately built where ‘Ramlala’ is situated at present.

Raees also said that Sri Ram was also the ancestor of India’s Muslims and we are all his descendants. There is no denying the fact that the Babri Mosque was constructed after demolishing the Ram Temple, he said. He said India is a secular state where all religions are respected and where people professing all religions live in a peaceful atmosphere. The Supreme Court verdict on Ayodhya issue was a ‘natural justice’ and it has absolved the Indian Muslims of the sin.

Criticizing those opposing the CAA as ‘agents of ISI’, he said that the CAA is not against the Indian Muslims. But those who sneaked into our country as a part of a conspiracy need to be identified and deported. Infiltrators will not be allowed to live here, he said.
