Mumbai, April 11: Following the donation of Rs. 50 lakh to aid the battle against the coronavirus pandemic, the legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar has once again pledged to support the needy people. He will be feeding around 5000 people for one month as India is continuing to struggle in this crisis.

Apnalaya which is a non-profit organization reported that Sachin will be taking care of the ration. "Thank You, Sachin Tendulkar, for stepping in & helping Apnalaya help the ones suffering the most during this lockdown. He will be taking care of the ration of around 5000 people for a month," it said.
 
 
The 46-year-old responded, "My best wishes to Apnalaya to continue your work in the service of the distressed and needy. Keep up your good work."
 
Earlier, last month, Tendulkar had handed our Rs. 25 lakh each to the PM's Relief Fund and the CM's Relief Fund (Maharashtra) to help the government in combating the virus.
 
Several athletes and actors have come forward to support the nation in curbing the virus. In the last 24 hours, 40 deaths and 1035 new cases have been informed which is the sharpest increase taking the total up to 7447 including 6565 active cases, 643 people being cured and claiming the lives of 239 people.
