New Delhi, April 28: Painful as the event may have been, the Palghar mob lynching act where 2 Sadhus and a driver were put to death, was anything but a wake up call for the state of Maharahstra. But it appears that the Uddhav Thackrey led state governmnet has set the matter of firm action aside behind the curtains of Corona virus spread in the state.

Throwing light on the unheeding status of the state, the Indiac Collective Trust, an organisation founded in 2017 has written to the Chief Minister on Tuesday demanding CBI inquiry over the case of mob-lynching of Chikane Maharaj Kalpavrikshgiri and Sushil Giri Maharaj along with their driver, Nilesh Telgane. The Trust has also demanded suspension, pending inquiry of the on-duty police officers involved in the matter.

"The fact that certain officials of the state Police were an active and willing accompliance in this unforgivable crime, has deeply disturbed us as it has stunned a wide section of the Hindu Society", the letter read doubting the veracity of the incoherent and untenable official statements that deny the existence of a communal angle behind the incident.

The administration has all but signalled to the Hindus in the State that their lives do not matter, it read. "After all, if our Dharmagurus are not safe under your administration, how can a common Hindu expect to live safely and with a modicum of dignity", the Trust pondered.

The Indiac Collective Trust is aims to advocate, through Constitutional and democratic means, the right of the Indic way of life to exist and thrive. In less than three years of its existence, the Trust has initiated several projects and campaigns, including legal actions in matters of civilizational and national importance before the High Court and the Supreme Court.
