Cricketers march their bit to fight against the pandemic; Yuvi contributes 50 lakhs; Bhajji to feed 5000 families!

New Delhi, April 6: Former batsman Yuvraj Singh and spinner Harbhajan Singh on Monday pledged their support to fight against the virus on Sunday. This is after several sportspersons came forward to do their bit in helping to combat the coronavirus pandemic in India.

The star cricketer Yuvraj has willingly handed out Rs. 50 lakh to the PM CARES Fund to help fight the pandemic. He has appealed to citizens of India to stay united in this fight against the virus. He said that on this great day of solidarity of lighting the candle on Sunday at 9 PM for 9 minutes, he pledged to donate Rs. 50 Lakhs to the PM CARES Fund.
 
 
On the other hand, the ace spinner Harbhajan Singh has decided to feed 5,000 families in Jalandhar. He said, "By Blessings of Almighty, Geeta and I pledge to distribute ration to 5000 families residing in Jalandhar, who are struggling to feed their families during these difficult times. We will continue to help and support our fellow citizens in whichever way we can lessen the burden of struggle."
 
 
When he was asked about how he doing all of these while he is in Mumbai, he stated, “I used to live in Daulatpuri earlier. My close friends today completed the distribution of dry ration to 500 families in that area. I have personally spoken to DC (Punjab Police) Jalandhar. My team of friends will be following his instructions and accordingly food packets will be distributed.”
 
The 39-year-old along with his wife and actress Geeta Basra has distributed 5kg of rice, flour, oil, and other essential cooking ingredients and he will continue to do so. As he still attached to Jalandhar he divided time between Mumbai and Jalandhar. He also expressed gratitude to Punjab Police and my childhood friends who have helped in doing this.
