Note 7 new MEA choices as India's face to different nations

New Delhi, May 1: The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) on Friday rearranged the appointments of its Ambassadors to various countries following the cessation of serving term by the delegates. This is after Indian MEA's official spokesperson Raveesh Kumar on April 6 announced to have vacated the position for Anurag Srivastava, serving India for 33 consecutive months.

Ambassador of India to the Federative Republic of Brazil
 
Suresh K Reddy has been appointed India's next ambassador to Brazil replacing Ashok Das. The diplomat is currently serving as an Additional Secretary in the ministry. An IFS officer of 1991 batch, Reddy is expected to take up the assignment shortly, the ministry said.
 
Permanent Representative of India to the United Nations
 
One of the finest Indian Diplomats, India's envoy to UN Syed Akbaruddin is to retire while T. S. Tirumurti is appointed as the next Ambassador to the United Nations at New York. From being Spox of MEA to envoy to UN, Akbaruddin's role has been stellar. T. S. Tirumurti (IFS-1985) is presently Secretary in the Ministry and is to take up his new role shortly.
 
Ambassador of India to the Republic of Slovenia
 
Namrata S. Kumar (IFS- l997), presently Joint Secretary in the Ministry, has been appointed as the next Ambassador of India to the Republic of Slovenia, the Ministry said in its official release. While Kumar is all set to replace Param Jit Mann, she is fit enough to take India-Slovenia relations to another level, the Ministry added.
 
Ambassador of India to Austria
 
Jaideep Mazumdar (IFS- 1989), presently Ambassador of India to the Republic of Philippines, has been shifed to the desk as the next Ambassador of India to Austria. Jaideep Mujumdar, according to the Ministry will be shortly assuming the position replacing Renu Pall.
 
 Ambassador of India to the State of Qatar
 
Deepak Mittal has been appointed India's next Ambassador to Qatar, while replacing P Kumaran as per an official release of MEA. Deepak Mittal is a Joint Secretary in the Ministry of External Affairs and also has served as a Joint Secretary in Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Iran.
 
Ambassador of India to the Kingdom of Bahrain
 
The Ministry of External Affairs announced yesterday the appointment of experienced foreign service official Piyush Srivastava as the country's next Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain filling the place left vacant for last three months my Alok Kumar Sinha. Shrivastava is to take up the position soon, said the release.
