Manushi Chhillar joins Lionel Messi, Rohit Sharma in global campaign against COVID-19

Mumbai, May 21: Former Miss World and Bollywood actress Manushi Chhillar announced that she is collaborating with global fitness brand Adidas for a global campaign titled 'Home Team Hero' to raise the fund for those affected by the deadly pandemic. The virtual concert will kick-start on May 29.
She is going to work with Argentinian footballing legend Lionel Messi, David Beckham, Indian cricketer Rohit Sharma, Gareth Bale, Mesut Ozil, and among others in the effort.

About the collaboration, Manushi said: “Superly excited to become a part of the global Adidas campaign Home Team Hero Challenge. It is an opportunity for the world’s athletes and creators to unite and help make a difference with their workouts for those affected by the coronavirus pandemic globally and I’m proud to be doing my bit for the #COVID19FUND.”
She said: "No one knows this but I'm a very sporty person and I do like football as a sport. So, it's thrilling to be associated with an initiative that has so many sporting legends and icons of the world coming forward to help."
Manushi added that the world "needs every individual to stand up and support those in need and I am pleased to be working towards this common goal through the challenge".
The #HOMETEAMHERO Challenge is an open invite to our teammates around the world to rally and dedicate their workouts for good. From May 29 – June 7, for every hour of tracked activity, they will donate $1 to the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund for the World Health Organization(WHO), to reach one million hours.
