Fake news is perfect, It is meant to spread. Why? Cause It is shocking, surprising, and it will be playing on people’s emotions, and that’s a recipe for how to spread misinformation. Such is the case of the following pic which is making rounds of social media.
What is the fact: This photo of Mohan Bhagwat which is surfaced on social media is from 2014. Books shown in the image are written by BJP spoke person Dr Bizay Sonkar Shashtri. You can check his post on his official website here. Mohan Bhagwat along with Late Ashok Singhal of VHP and political leaders and ministers such as Smriti Irani and Prakash Javdekar were present for this inauguration.
Bizay Sonkar is active in Socio-Political field since 1980. He has written many books, mostly on Dalit movement and their rights. He also runs a magazine called "Dalit Andolan" and currently he heads this magazine in the capacity of Editor in Chief. It is very unlikely that man with such stature would write a book on the direction of Mohan Bhagwat
What did Mohan Bhagwat say: Bhagwat said that it is the right of the Dalit's to get respectable positions in the society. Upper castes have to help them cause they are our Hindu Brothers and Sisters. He also repeated that RSS is always for the reservation of Dalits. He said that Dalits have suffered for a thousand years. If we have to face difficulties while helping them we should do it with pleasure.
Conclusion: Considering all facts, it is pretty lucid that this social media post is fake. Mohan Bhagwat is not getting books written from anyone and clearly, he doesn't want to bring Manu Smriti back. The social media post was written with "mala fide" intention to develop a rift between Hindus. They have cleverly used an image from 2014 so that no one could track it down. We suggest our readers not to fall for such posts.
