Rajnath Singh visits forward post along LoC, offers prayers at Amarnath Temple

Jammu, July 18: Following the visit to Leh, Defence Minister arrived at a forward post near the Line of Control (LoC) in Kupwara district, Jammu and Kashmir. Before his visit to the forward post, he offered prayers at Amarnath Temple on Saturday. Chief of Defence Staff General Bipin Rawat and Army chief General Manoj Mukund Naravane accompanied him.

“Visited a forward post near LoC in Kupwara District of Jammu-Kashmir today and interacted with the soldiers deployed there. We are extremely proud of these brave and courageous soldiers who are defending our country in every situation,” the defence minister tweeted.
 
 
Earlier, in the morning, he visited the holy cave of Amarnath Temple and spent about an hour at the temple complex. “Feeling extremely blessed after praying at Shri Amarnathji Holy Cave in Jammu and Kashmir,” he said.
 
 
The Minister is on a two-day visit to Ladakh and Jammu and Kashmir to review the situation along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) and Line of Control (LoC). Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Bipin Rawat and Army chief General Manoj Mukund Naravane are accompanying him on the visit.
 
On Friday, he visited Leh to review situation along the LAC and interacted with Indian Army and Paramilitary troops here along with Chief of Defence Staff General Bipin Rawat and Army Chief General MM Naravane. "I can assure you, not one inch of our land can be taken by any power in the world," Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Friday assured while he interacted with the Indian Army and Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) personnel here at Lukung. He also witnessed para dropping and scoping weapons here. He also inspected a Pika machine gun. Meanwhile, Indian Army T-90 tanks and BMP infantry combat vehicles carried out the exercise at Stakna, Leh in presence of Singh, Chief of Defence Staff and Army Chief.
