Sachin Tiwari to play lead role in movie inspired by Sushant Singh Rajput’s life; Makers releases poster

Mumbai, July 20: Vijay Shekhar Gupta’s production venture on Monday has released the poster of the new 'film named 'Suicide or Murder: A star was lost' which is based on Sushant Singh Rajput's life. The poster of the film shows debutant Sachin Tiwari as the 'outsider'. He is considered as a doppelganger of Sushant Singh Rajput.

This film will narrate the journey of the boy from a small town who became a Shining Star in the film industry without having godfathers in Bollywood, struggle. The film will unmask the real face of the insiders of Bollywood. The film will be helmed by filmmaker Shamik Maulik and will be produced by Vijay. The film will be shot in parts of Mumbai and Punjab. Singer and music director Shraddha Pandit will be composing the soundtrack of Suicide or Murder. The film is expected to go on floors in mid-September.
 
 
Vijay Shekhar said that they are in the middle of finalising the script which will be done by August post which they will move to shoot the film for around 50 days in Mumbai and Punjab. He said, "This film is being made to break the myth of nepotism and Bollywood mafias spread in Bollywood. I am not trying to redeem his name at all."
 
He added that his film Suicide or Murder will talk about all the cases and ‘outsiders’ where the industry tried to sabotage their careers.
 
Shekhar said “The film is not Sushant’s biopic. It is inspired by his life and work. We are writing the script. It will be based on thorough research of the star’s life, and we will be talking to a lot of other actors who are considered ‘outsiders’ in the industry. Star kids will not be a part of this film. We will be working with a rising star who is not a star kid. We should be able to start shooting in a few months.”
 
 
The actor died on June 14. Sushant Singh Rajput’s tragic death sent shock waves not just in India but to his fans across the globe. His death has also brought light to other issues like bullying, power politics amongst others that take place in Bollywood. The criminal complaints have been filed against in a court in Bihar accusing Bollywood celebrities like Salman Khan, Karan Johar, Ekta Kapoor, Aditya Chopra and Sanjay Leela Bhansali of abetting the suicide of Sushant.
