The disputed structure was demolished by the crowd of karsevaks gathered there from across the country. Dr. Joshi was one of the leaders leading that crowd. His statement was recorded in the court of Special Judge S K Yadav through video conference.

Another veteran BJP leader and former Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister L K Advani is likely to record his statement on Friday through video conferencing, sources said.

The Ayodhya disputed structure demolition trial is presently at the stage of recording of statements of 32 accused in the case under Section 313 of CrPC during which they get an opportunity to refute the prosecution evidence against them.

The structure was demolished on December 6, 1992, by 'karsevaks' who claimed that an ancient Ram temple stood at the same site. Advani and Joshi were among those leading the Ram temple movement at that time.
