"My dear countrymen, I had symptoms of COVID-19 and after the test, my report has come back positive. I appeal to all my colleagues that whoever has come in contact with me, get their corona test done. And my close contacts should go into quarantine," he tweeted.

Further, he added, "I am following all the guidelines. I will quarantine myself according to the doctor’s advice. I appeal to the people of my state to be careful. "If treated on time, then the person is completely cured. I have been reviewing the status of corona infection every evening since March 25. I will try to review coronavirus with video conferencing as much as possible now, he added.

The Minister said in his absence, state Home Minister Narottam Misra and his other Cabinet ministers will hold these meetings."In my absence, this meeting will now be held by Home Minister Narottam Misra, Minister of Urban Development and Administration Bhupendra Singh, Health Education Minister Vishvas Sarang, and Health Minister Prabhuram Choudhary," he said.
