Sushant Singh Rajput case; Family files FIR against Rhea Chakraborty, 5 others

Patna, July 29: In a major twist, Sushant Singh Rajput's family has filed an FIR complaint against his girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty and five others at Rajiv Nagar Police Station in Patna for abetment of suicide and a string of other charges.

 

 

The FIR has been lodged under Sections 340, 342, 380, 406, 420, 306 of the IPC against Five other persons, including Rhea's parents, brother, and Sushant's manager Shruti Modi, have also been booked for 'abetment to suicide, cheating, and conspiracy'.

 

According to the FIR, Rhea allegedly took cash and jewelry from Sushant's house when she dumped him on June 8, 2020. In a six-page complaint, Sushant’s father KK Singh has made a serious charge against Rhea and her family. He has also alleged in the FIR that all of Rhea's expenses were borne by his late son and that she has embezzled an amount of Rs. 15 crores from Sushant. According to the statement she used his credit cards on a Europe tour and sacked one of his bodyguards. Also, she has stakes in Rajput’s company.

 

KK Singh added in the complaint that she is the reason behind Sushant’s extreme step. He has also claimed that Rhea threatened Sushant of revealing the details of his apparent mental illness to the media. Actor's father has also accused that Rhea used Sushant's success as a ladder to propel her Bollywood career.

 

The FIR further alleges that the actress changed Sushant’s phone number so that his family members could not contact him. KK Singh has further mentioned that Sushant informed him over the phone how Rhea and her family would not leave him and drive him mad. He also claimed that she took all the money. passport, jewelry, and all medical papers with her before leaving the house on 8 June 2020.

 

Sushant’s family reportedly said that they had no knowledge of him suffering from depression or any other psychological problem, and are unhappy about people peddling the mental health narrative. Moreover, Sushant's relative has also questioned the Mumbai Police's investigation into the Chhichhore actor's death by asking them to record actors Ankita Lokhande and Kriti Sanon's statements about the late actor's mental and medical condition.

 

 

After Sushant Singh Rajput's family approached Bihar Police on Monday, the state has sent a 4-member team to Mumbai to further investigate the actor's death case.

 

 

The 34-year-old actor passed away on 14th June 2020. Sushant Singh Rajput’s death has sparked debates around favoritism, nepotism, and bullying in Bollywood and therefore several Bollywood biggies have been questioned by the Mumbai Police in connection with the death case. Mumbai police have interrogated more than 40 people in connection with Sushant’s death case.

 

Several political leaders including BJP leader Subramanyam Swamy and film personalities have demanded a CBI probe into his death. Rhea has also called for a CBI investigation into Sushant's death, tagging Union Home Minister Amit Shah in a post on social media.
