Meet the sisters who will sing 'Ram Katha' at Ram Mandir Bhoomi Pujan

Ayodhya, Aug 4: On the occasion of the Ram Janmabhoomi Pujan on 5 August, Nagpur based twins sisters Bhagyashri and Dhanashri Wadekar have got golden opportunity to not only witness the Ram Mandir Bhoomi Pujan but they also got a chance to sing "Ram Katha" at a grand ceremony.

During the Bhoomi Poojan, they are going to sing "Hum katha sunate Ram sakal gundham ki" song from Ramanand Sagar's Uttar Ramayan. This song was originally sung by Kavita Krishnamurthy and it is written by Ravindra Jain. And it is worth to be noted that the song was sung by twin children Love and Kush as shown in Uttar Ramayan. These songs narrate the story of Sita and Ram.
 
 
 
This comes after the sister uploaded their video of singing Uttar Ramayan's title song which went viral on social media. After that, the video got attention form the Ayodya based private channel who is handling the responsibility of devotional songs of the events. They saw their uploaded video and the private channel approached the Wadekar sisters for the event. Moreover, the sisters have reached Ayodhya on 31 July and started their practice.
 
Bhagyashri and Dhanashri are from Kachari Savanga village, Nagpur, and are currently studying in the second year of BA in Insitute of science Nagpur. Both the sisters have participated in various singing programs like Indian Idol, Rising stars, Sa re ga ma pa Zee TV.
 
Moreover, the preparations ahead of Bhumi Pujan for the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya are going on in full swing. Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi is also going to attend the event. He will be laying the foundation stone in the proposed site for the holy temple so that the construction of the Ram Mandir can finally begin. Around 175 guests are going to part of this event. The idol of Lord Ram will don a green dress during the ceremony. It will be telecast live by public broadcaster Doordarshan.
