NCB summons Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan and other actresses in drug probe

Mumbai, September 24: The ongoing drug probe witnessed breakthroughs, as Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) summoned popular Bollywood actresses including Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan, Shraddha Kapoor, and Rakul Preet Singh for questioning in connection with its ongoing drug probe. Moreover, NCB also has asked the celebs to be present before the NCB in the next three days.

NCB officer Ashok Jain stated, “As part of our investigation, we issued summons to few people. They are expected to join the probe in the next few days.” The agency summons Deepika over a phone call as she was in Goa for a shoot meanwhile NCB officials visited Shraddha Kapoor’s and Sara's house to serve the summons. She has been summoned on September 25, while other actresses Shraddha Kapoor and Sara Ali Khan have been asked to appear before the NCB on September 26.
 
According to NCB Rhea Chakraborty took top Bollywood celebrities names including Rakul Preet Singh and Sara Ali Khan during her interrogation.Rhea is also said to have confessed to partaking marijuana. However, Shraddha’s connection to the case was reported after it emerged that she had joined in to celebrate the success of ‘Chhichhore’ at Sushant’s Lonavala farmhouse, where drugs were allegedly used.
 
The NCB has so far arrested more than 12 people, including Rajput's girlfriend and actress Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik Chakraborty, in connection with the probe into the drugs angle in the case of the actor's death. The special court on Tuesday extended Rhea's judicial custody till October 6.
