Pyongyang, Oct12: North Korean leader Kim Jong Un criticised the United States for hostile measures on Tuesday, saying his country is beefing up its military capabilities to maintain national sovereignty. The US, according to Kim, is the "root cause" of the Korean Peninsula's instability. He asserted that there is no reason to believe Washington's stance toward Pyongyang is anything other than "hostile."

"We are not discussing war with anyone, but rather to prevent war itself and to literally increase war deterrence for the protection of national sovereignty," Kim Jong Un stated this at a defence expo, despite claims that North Korea just tested a hypersonic missile. While the administration of US President Joe Biden has maintained that the US has no hostile intentions toward the country, Kim declared at the Defense Development Exhibition, "I am highly intrigued if there are individuals or countries that believe that."

The G20 summit which is happening in Italy will consist of some major concerns regarding North Korea. The world is looking towards North Korea with an eye of suspicion as we saw in recent months when the world was busy dealing with energy crunch and the Afghanistani Taliban incursion in the region, North Korea was silent and was just waiting for its turn. When the world was ready to see, they tested their Hypersonic Missiles. Kim regime was notorious for such stunts. It will be interesting to see where these turn of events will lead the world here forward.

What's in it for India..?
North Korea becoming weapon rich day by day and the US is concerned that doesn't feel much to an Indian but never forget that it was North Korea itself that helped Pakistan to enrich its weapon-grade Uranium under the rule of Kim Jong Il. Kim regime in power is an inclusive threat to all the world and many of the world leaders are stressing this particular fact for a long now and it's time for India to stand and take a firm stance on subjects like these.
