New Delhi, November 11: The Union Civil Aviation Minister, Jyotiraditya Scindia, launched the e-governance for Civil Aviation (e-GCA) online platform today. Through the platform, the aviation regulator Directorate General of Civil Aviation will provide 298 services, including pilot licensing and medical examination.
This online platform will provide services to different DGCA stakeholders like Pilots, Aircraft Maintenance Engineers, Air Traffic Controllers, Air Operators, Airport Operators, Flying Training Organizations, Maintenance and Design organizations, etc.
The launch of the e-GCA project under DGCA was part of the minister's 100-day plan for the aviation sector. This portal was developed by Tata Consultancy Services.
DGCA has been transferring services online for the past 4 years now, and the launch of the online portal completes the transfer of most of the regulator’s services online.
