Winter Session: Over 26 new bills on the agenda of BJP-led government; WATCH what PM Modi said ahead of session-

New Delhi, Nov 29: A huge debate is likely to happen in Parliament today as the 25-day Winter Session will take place during which over 26 bills are expected to be passed including one to repeal the farm laws.

 

 

The other bills to be passed in the session include the crucial Cryptocurrency and Regulation of Official Digital Currency Bill, the Insolvency and Bankruptcy (Second Amendment) Bill, 2021, and the Electricity (Amendment) Bill.

 

Besides, On Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi skipped the all-party meeting. 31 parties attended the meeting, but the Aam Aadmi Party walked out in the middle of it. Many Opposition parties as well as some of those friendly to the Bharatiya Janata Party, have demanded a statutory backing to the Minimum Support Price (MSP) of crops for farmers at the meet.

 

 

Ahead of the session, PM Modi said, "This is an important session of the Parliament. The citizens of the country want a productive session. They are fulfilling their responsibilities for a brighter future. Our Government is ready to answer all questions during the Winter Session of the Parliament. We should debate in the Parliament, and maintain the decorum of the proceedings".
