Noatbly, on December 6, 1992, for the reclamation of Lord Rama’s birthplace, thousands of karsevaks scaled the walls of the Babri structure brought it to ground against which this demonstration was held. During this, activists of JNU Students' Union and activists of Left organizations present here demanded the reconstruction of Babri Masjid.

JNUSU vice president Saket Moon said that during the protest one slogan was given: "Nahi Sahenge Hashimpura, Nahi Sahenge Dadri, Phir Banao, Phir Banao Dadri." The protest mentioned both Hashimpura Massacare and Babri Masjid demolition. On May 22, 1987, 42 Muslim men were were rounded up from the Hashimpura locality in Meerut by UP Provincial Armed Constabulary for their cold-blooded execution. The same happened in Babri too. This is totally wrong and to avoid any such act in future, we held the protest. We demand that the Babri Masjid should be made again."

A large number of left-wing students gathered at Ganga Dhaba of the JNU campus at 8:30 pm and from here the protest march reached Chandrabhaga Hostel. Even before this, many controversial statements have been made by the pro-left students.
