Amid 10th round of talks, China releases video, shows confrontation with Indian Army

Beijing, Feb 20: Few hours after China officially admitted the casualties after 8 months of India-China border standoff, the Chinese state media tweeted a video of last year's brutal border faceoff along Line of Actual Control (LAC) in eastern Ladakh's Galwan Valley.
The video released by Chinese state media analyst Shen Shiwei showed dozens of Indian and Chinese troops clashing in the Galwan Valley area. He also alleged that the Indian troops "trespassed into Chinese side".
The video showcases both PLA troops and Indian soldiers crossing a river in biting cold and meeting on the rocky banks, where some of them are seen pushing each other to go back. It also includes night visuals that shows Indian-Chinese soldiers with flashlights, batons, and shields standing on the edge of a cliff.
It should be noted that the video comes eight months after the biggest military confrontation between the two sides took place in over five decades. The state-run Global Times also shared the video on its social media platform Twitter with the caption: "An on-site video reveals in detail the four PLA martyrs and other brave Chinese soldiers at the scene of the Galwan Valley border clash with India in June 2020."
The Indian Army is yet to react to the video of the clash released by China.
India-China Corps Commanders meet
The video was released just ahead of the 10th round of talks between military commanders of India and China on Saturday to discuss disengagement in other friction points of Gogra and Hot Springs. The meeting was scheduled for 10 am at Moldo on the Chinese side.
The reports suggest that the disengagement process between India and China on both banks of Pangong Lake has been completed.
Both sides have pulled back troops from the south and north banks of the bitterly contested Pangong Lake area in eastern Ladakh as part of an agreement reached between the two sides on the disengagement process.
