Lucknow, Mar 25: The President of India, Ram Nath Kovind appointed Mohd. Aslam, Anil Kumar Ojha, Sadhna Rani (Thakur), Naveen Srivastava, Syed Aftab Husain Rizvi, Ajai Tyagi, and Ajai Kumar Srivastava-l, to be Additional Judges of the Allahabad High Court. The Department of Justice, Ministry of Law and Justice has issued a notification in this regard on Mar 22, 2021.

President Ram Nath Kovind made the appointments in exercise of the power conferred by clause (I) of Article 224 of the Constitution of India. According to the notification the appointments of Sadhna Rani (Thakur), Syed Aftab Husain Rizvi, and Ajai Kumar Srivastava-l, would be for a period of two years with effect from the date they assume charge of their respective offices. However, the period of appointment of Mohd. Aslam, Anil Kumar Ojha, Naveen Srivastava, and Ajai Tyagi , would be with effect from the date they assume charge of their offices till Jan 14 2023, Jul 1 2022, Dec 19 2021 and Dec 31 2022 respectively.

Mohd Aslam joined the Judicial Service in July 1986 and served as Additional District and Sessions Judge for Meerut, Ramabai Nagar, Varanasi and District and Sessions Judge for Ballia, Baharich. At the time of recommendation, he was working as District and Sessions Judge at Hamirpur. Anil Kumar Ojha joined the Judicial Service in Aug 1986. At the time of recommendation, he was working as District and Sessions Lucknow.
Sadhna Rani (Thakur) joined the Judicial Service Aug 1986 and at the time of recommendation, she was working at District and Sessions court, Mathura. Naveen Srivastava joined the Judicial Service in Aug 1987 and at the time of recommendation, he was working at District and Sessions court, Aligarh. Syed Aftab Husain Rizvi joined the Judicial Service in Aug 1987 and at the time of recommendation, he was working at District and Sessions court, Hardoi.
Ajai Tyagi joined the Judicial Service in Aug 1987 and at the time of recommendation, he was working as Member Secretary, U.P. State Legal Services Authority since Aug 2019. Ajai Kumar Srivastava joined Judicial Service in Aug 1987. At the time of recommendation. he was working as Registrar General Allahabad High Court, Prayagraj.
