Moyna, March 31: As the polling date of state assembly elections is coming near, attacks on the BJP leaders has increased in the Mamata didi-led West Bengal. The latest one being former cricketer and BJP candidate from Moyna, Ashok Dinda, getting attacked by unidentified people while he was campaigning in his constituency.

According to the news reports, his car was attacked with stones and sticks. Dinda was returning from a roadshow when his SUV was attacked mob. The mob hurled stones at the vehicle. The backside of the car was also damaged in the incident. The cricketer has also suffered.
 
 
The 37-year old has accused TMC workers of carrying out the attack. However, like always TM has denied the allegation. They said the attack was a result of infighting within the BJP.
 
Moreover, the Election Commission sought a report from the district administration in connection with the incident.
 
Dinda had joined BJP in February in presence of the Union Minister Babul Supriyo and state BJP vice president Arjun Singh. Dinda is contesting the election from the Moyna constituency as a candidate of the Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP). Polling for the Moyna Assembly constituency will be held on April 1 in the second phase.
