‘Saina’ Trailer Released! Witness the journey of ace badminton player

New Delhi, March 08: On the occasion of International Women's day, the makers of the upcoming film ‘Saina’ dropped the trailer of the movie and gave a wonderful tribute to the badminton player Saina Nehwal. Bollywood actress Parineeti Chopra portrayed the role of Saina in the movie. It is the first time that Parineeti has worked in a Biopic.

The 2 minutes 48 seconds trailer opens up with the voice-over which guides the journey of the badminton player. It also gives us a glimpse of her life. It shows the journey of the athlete that how the small-town girl who came from Haryana becomes a world champion.

 

 

The movie also traces Saina’s bond with her two pillars of strength – her mother and father, without whom she wouldn’t have achieved all that she did. The trailer highlights the hardship and the obstacles that Saina Nehwal faced before she jumped back into the game with full force and proved herself as an outstanding player.

 

 

 

Saina Nehwal is the first Indian badminton player to win an Olympic medal. She also became the only Indian woman shuttler to become world number one. The movie is helmed by Amole Gupte. It is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Sujay Jairaj, and Rashesh Shah under the banner of T-Series and Front Foot Pictures. ‘Saina’ also stars Meghna Malik, Manav Kaul, and Paresh Rawal in pivotal roles.

Parineeti was last seen in the Netflix Hindi adaptation of The Girl on the Train. The film was directed by Ribhu Dasgupta.
