Kirron Kher suffering from blood cancer, undergoing treatment in Mumbai

Mumbai, April 01: Veteran actress and well-known politician Kirron Kher, has been diagnosed with multiple myeloma, a type of blood cancer. The actor and her husband Anupa Kher took social media and informed about her diagnosis. He tweeted, "She is currently undergoing treatment and will come out of this stronger than before."

“Just so that rumors don’t get the better of a situation Sikandar and I would like to inform everyone that Kirron has been diagnosed with multiple myeloma, a type of blood cancer. She is currently undergoing treatment and we are sure she will come out of this stronger than before. We are very blessed that she is being looked after by a phenomenal set of doctors. She’s always been a fighter and takes things head-on,” Anupam wrote.
 
He also asked people to send prayers her way. “She’s all heart and that’s why she has so many people that love her. So keep sending your love to her in your prayers and your heart. She is well on her way to recovery and we thank everyone for their support and love,” Anupam wrote.
 
Kher's statement comes after, Chandigarh BJP president Arun Sood took the press conference and revealed that Kirron is suffering from multiple myeloma after some liberals and congress raised questions about Kher's absence from her constituency. He also informed that the disease had spread to her left arm and right shoulder.
 
 
 
Sood said that Kirron was diagnosed in November. He said, "She had suffered a broken left arm at her Chandigarh house on November 11 last year. After her medical tests at the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) in Chandigarh, she was diagnosed with multiple myeloma. The disease had spread to her left arm and right shoulder. For treatment, she had to go to Mumbai on December 4."

Kirron Kher is currently being treated in Mumbai's Kokilaben Hospital. "In one week, she has to visit the hospital for two hours, and the next week she has to be hospitalized for a night. This is apart from the other treatment that is going on at her place," Sood disclosed.
 
 
Kher had won from Chandigarh for the first time in 2014, defeating Congress's Pawan Bansal and actress Gul Panag, AAP. She won again in 2019.
