Crisis between Ind & Pak to become more intense: US report

Washington DC, April 14: The United State in its annual Intelligence report has mentioned that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi India has more likely to respond with force to Pakistan provocation.
 
The annual threat assessment of the US intelligence community report 2021 is released by the director of the Nation Intelligence. In that report, the US said, "Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India is more likely than in the past to respond with military force to perceived or real Pakistani provocations."

In its report, the US further added that the heightened tensions between the two countries raise the risk of conflict between the two nuclear-armed neighbors, with violent unrest in Kashmir or a militant attack in India being potential flashpoints.
 
 
Highlighting tension between nuclear-armed India and Pakistan remains a concern for the world it said, "although a general war between India and Pakistan is unlikely, crises between the two are likely to become more intense, risking an escalatory cycle."

It should be remembered that India has hit back Pakistan after the Uri and Pulwama terrorist Attack. In 2016 Indian forces conducted surgical strikes on terror launch pads in Pakistan occupied Kashmir. In 2019 Indian Air Force had struck terror camps in the vicinity of Balakot town in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
 
 
Moreover, the report has also mentioned China and India's conflict. In the chapter named China's Push for Global, Power US has said, " China-India border tensions remain high despite some force pullbacks this year."

In February 2021, India and China have pulled back their troops from Pangong Lake after holding the 9 meetings on the situation.
