"COVID-19 situation is getting worse. We all will win over this pandemic only if we all as a society come together. The RSS as usual have started providing various kinds of services for the COVID affected patients and their family members. Other than the isolation camps, COVID care centres, food, this time the RSS volunteers have issued some helpline numbers where patients can get details about bed availability, ambulances, ventilators, etc. If any patient needs to consult the doctor, RSS has made all provisions", he said.

He also added that RSS sevaks had voluntarily come forward for plasma donations. The plasma bank helplines are made availabe by them, he added. He also lauded all those RSS sevaks who are taking up the task of 'Antim Sanskar Vidhi' (cremation) in Vaikunthas. "It is sad to note that the death rate in India is severe and hence cremation centres need help. Sevaks wear PPE kits and are serving the cause in cremation centres too", he noted.

While urging people to come forward for sewa karya, Ambekar said that RSS had already began spreading awareness about vaccination and rubbing off the myths in relation. The Vaccine registrations for 18+ began yesterday and that it is important for everyone to book a slot. "After vaccination, as noted by the Health Ministry, people won't be able to donate blood for another 45-60 days. So is that the RSS has set up blood donations camps. I request youngsters to come forward and donate blood", he said.

For decades considered to be working behind thick veils of alacrity and strong will to serve the nation, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has lately found itself more in the centre of public attention. While all of the liberals, pseudo-secularists and leftists are resting in their houses, RSS is on ground to coordinate with the govt. The selfless work of RSS volunteers during natural disaster is unparalleled. What is more admirable is that they do not discriminate based on caste creed or religion. Newsbharati salutes RSS seva amid COVID outbreak!
