Karnataka to vaccinate all college students in less than 2 weeks: Deputy CM

Bengaluru, June 30: In the first of kind initiative, Karnataka is going to vaccinate all college students in 10 days. Deputy Chief Minister Dr. CN Ashwatha Narayana gave the information about the 'Marali College Ge’ initiative.

Addressing the media, he said that the vaccination drive for the higher education students has been initiated on June 28. Ashwatha added that the govt had inoculated 94,000 students on the first day. "The vaccination drive for the higher education students was initiated on 28 June and 94,000 students have been jabbed on the first day," he said.
 
 
He added that the beneficiaries will include students of polytechnic, ITI, degree, engineering, medical, paramedical, diploma, medical diploma, students registered under chief minister's skill development scheme, and studying in university campuses.

He added that the concerned authorities have been directed to vaccinate all students in this group in 10 days.
 
 
It should be noted that the central govt has supplied 60 lakh vaccines to the state in the month of June.DCM said that the state of Karnataka stands 3rd in the country, in the overall achievement with respect to vaccination and other parameters of Covid management.
