Security Forces recovers 6kg IED in South Kashmir's Pulwama district

Pulwama, June 07: A day after the terrorists hurled a grenade on a police party in Jammu Kashmir, J&K security forces recovered an Improvised Explosive Device, near the Saimu area of Tral in Pulwama district south Kashmir.

According to the police the IED weighing 5-7 kgs. Security forces detected the IED in the Saimu area of Tral tehsil. "A-Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) was immediately called,” Police officials said, adding that the IED, weighing about 6 kg, was later defused without causing any damage or loss to life.
 
 
 
 
Moreover, they informed that the area has been cordoned off and investigation has been initiated to identify and nab the militants responsible for planting the IED.
 
 
Earlier a day, seven people were injured in a grenade attack on security forces by militants near Bus Stand Tral on Sunday. The incident took place at the main bus stand in the Tral area of J&K's Pulwama district. All of the injured have been shifted to a nearby hospital. A similar attack was carried out by militants in the Tral area on May 26 of this year. Officials had later confirmed that militants lobbed a grenade in the direction of a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) party.
 
 
On 5 June, the security forces recovered an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) in Srinagar. Official sources said that an IED was detected near Government quarters, which is just a stone’s throw away from Chanapora police post in uptown Srinagar on Saturday.
