Bhopal, July 19: Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan will transfer an amount of Rs 16.40 lakh to the accounts of 328 child beneficiaries. This comes after the scheme 'Covid-19 Bal Seva Yojana' was announced by the state government earlier.
In May, it was announced that the Chouhan government will provide free education and a monthly pension to children who have lost their parents or guardians during the current COVID-19 pandemic. It has decided to assist children by providing a pension of Rs 5,000 per month.
"Today on July 19, according to the 'Covid-19 Bal Seva Yojana' the govt will transfer the amount in the account of the children. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan will also interact with the children. Under the scheme Rs 5,000 free education, ration facility will be provided to the orphan children per month," tweeted the Office of CM Madhya Pradesh.
Further, it also said, "In the second wave of Corona, the shadow of parents was taken away from many children. The government will take responsibility for such children. Free education, ration, and the residential facility are being provided along with financial assistance of Rs 5000 per month. Today an amount of Rs 16.40 lakh will be transferred to the accounts of 328 child beneficiaries: CM"

The CM had also said that the state will grant loans to women, who want to work or start a business, on a government guarantee. Moreover, in a statement to the media, Chouhan also said that the state government will also stand as guarantor for those availing interest-free loans to start businesses.
