Chandigarh Police summons Salman Khan, sister Alvira in alleged fraud case

Chandigarh July 09: In a major development, Chandigarh Police has summoned the Bollywood actor Salman Khan and his sister Alvira Agnihotri in a cheating case. Apart from Salman and her sister, other seven employees of Being Human to have also been summoned by the Chandigarh police.

The police have been further asked to be present on July 13 for questioning on the facts related to the complaint. The Chandigarh Police said, “We have received a complaint and for verification of the allegations, notices have been issued. They have been given time till July 13 to reply. If anything criminal is found, action will be taken."
 
According to police, the complaint has been filed by Arun Gupta. In the complaint, Arun said that "Two Being Human employees told me that asked me to open a franchise for Being Human. We agreed. They told us the cost of investment was Rs 2 crore, and pressurized us by saying Salman Khan will come for the opening of the showroom."
 
 
Following which he said he spent Rs 2-3 crore to launch an exclusive Being Human Jewellery store, however, the promotion commitments were not adhered to as Salman’s brother-in-law Aayush Sharma turned up for the launch of the store instead. Arun Gupta has further stated that not only the superstar didn’t promote the showroom, but he also didn’t even come for the launch of it. Gupta alleged that after opening the showroom, no one contacted him from the organisation.
 
They also did not dispatch the goods required for his store, his complaint read. He added that the office he set up for the collection of stock from the company was lying vacant since February 2020.
