Himachal becomes first state to administer 1st dose of COVID Vax to 100% of adult population

New Delhi, August 31: Setting the example for the other states, Himachal Pradesh has become the first state in India to administer the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine to 100 percent of its adult population.

 

The state's health minister Rajiv Saizal announced that Himachal Pradesh became the first state in the country to finish administering the first of two COVID-19 vaccination doses to its entire adult population. Dr. Saizal said, "The state has completed 100% first dose vaccinations in the 18 plus age group and it aims to complete 100 percent vaccination of both the doses by November 30, 2021."

 

Saizal also added that the state government is planning to complete administering the second vaccine dose to all eligible citizens by the end of November. He said, "The state's performance in vaccination has been very good. We will administer the second dose to 100 percent of the population by November 30."
