Al-Qaeda issued a detailed statement hours after the Taliban declared that Afghanistan has gained “full independence” following the withdrawal of the US forces. Praising the Taliban it said, “We praise the Almighty, the Omnipotent, who humiliated and defeated America, the head of disbelief. We praise Him for breaking America’s back, tarnishing its global reputation and expelling it, disgraced and humiliated, from the Islamic land of Afghanistan.”

The defeat of the “American Empire of Evil” is a “tremendous source of inspiration for the oppressed of the world”, the statement said, and offered al-Qaeda’s congratulations to the Taliban leadership, especially its chief Haibatullah Akhundzada.

In the statement titled “Congratulations to the Islamic Ummah on the victory granted by Allah in Afghanistan!” the terrorist outfit further added that the victory of the Taliban proved that the way of Jihad is the only way that leads to victory and empowerment.

“These events prove that the Way of Jihad is the only way that leads to victory and empowerment,” the message said, adding the time has come to “prepare for the next stage of the struggle, the way for which has been paved by the victory of the defiant Afghan nation”

Al - Qaeda has called for the “liberation” of Kashmir and other Islamic lands from the clutches of the enemies of Islam. It said, “Liberate the Levant, Somalia, Yemen, Kashmir and the rest of the Islamic lands from the clutches of the enemies of Islam. O’ Allah! Grant freedom to Muslim prisoners across the world.”

Recently after the Taliban took over Afghanistan, Osama Bin Laden’s bodyguard Dr. Amin al-Haq return to the Nangarhar in Afghanistan after the Taliban takeover. He was arrested in Pakistan in 2008 but released in 2011 with a red carpet. He works in the Taliban Prisoner Commission.

Ironically this comes just hours after, US President Biden said that the Al Qaeda has been decimated in Afghanistan, during his first address to the nation since the United States completed its military withdrawal from the country. We delivered justice to bin Laden on May 2nd, 2011, over a decade ago. Al-Qaeda was decimated," Biden said Tuesday.

It should be noted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has recently formed a a high-level group, to monitor the ground-level situation of the Taliban terrorist-led country. The group comprises External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, NSA Ajit Doval, and a number of other senior officials who will be monitoring the ground situation in Afghanistan.
