During the inaugural event of the Defence Offices Complexes on Kasturba Gandhi Marg and Africa Avenue in the national capital, he interacted with Army, Navy, Airforce and Civilian Officers, the Prime Minister said: "The people who were criticizing the Central Vista project never mentioned the Defence Offices Complexes, which is also part of the Centra Vista... They knew their falsity would be exposed."

"When we are focusing on ease of living and ease of doing business, modern infrastructure plays an equally important role. This is the idea behind the important role. This is the idea behind the work that is being done in the development of the Central Vista," PM Modi said.

He mentioned the significance of the new complexes."The construction of the Defence Offices Complexes was completed within 12 months amid the COVID-19 pandemic. This provided employment to hundreds of labourers during the challenging pandemic period." He also hoped that the construction of the new Parliament building will be completed in the time frame given earlier.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh remarked at the same event: "Previous buildings were in disrepair, which hampered our officers' working conditions and prevented optimal space use, which is why this complex was proposed. In optimal working conditions, around 7,000 personnel can be accommodated."

Around 7,000 officials from the Ministry of Defence and the Armed Forces, including the Army, Navy, and Air Force, will be housed in the new Defence Offices Complexes. The structures will provide modern, secure, and functional working environments. An Integrated Command and Control Center has been built to manage building operations while also ensuring the overall safety and surveillance of both buildings.

The new Defence Office Complexes are cutting-edge and energy-efficient, with extensive security control systems. One of the distinguishing elements of these buildings is the use of LGSF (Light gauge steel frame), a revolutionary and sustainable construction technique that lowered construction time from 24-30 months in the case of standard RCC construction. The structures make use of resource-efficient green technologies and promote environmentally friendly practices.
