Vice President called upon industry working with government to implement reforms for sustained economic growth

New Delhi, September 23: Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu called upon the industry to work with the government to implement numerous reforms with greater vigour, paving the way for a sustained economic growth in the upcoming decade.

He spoke at ‘Mystic South, Global Linkages Summit – Towards a 1.5 trillion-dollar Economy by 2025’ virtually. It was organised by Confederation of Indian Industry. Naidu said that our country is now at a decisive point to regain its growth. He added that, now is the time for all the stakeholders to join hands, ensuring sustained economic momentum.
 
 
He highlighted upon the fact that the Government has taken a number of steps to revive the economy. He added that the industry, on its part, should rise to occasion, ensure that the upward growth trajectory continues.
Naidu mentioned that the need of the hour is to initiate action that return the economy to a high-growth track and create jobs for millions of workers by year 2030.

He stated, an annual GDP growth rate of 8-8.5% annually, with continued productivity growth will be needed to stimulate entrepreneurship, create jobs, drive balanced progress. Naidu noted that India has been one of the 18 outperforming emerging economies over past 10 years.
 
 

Naidu added, the aspiration for southern region to become a 1.5 trillion-dollar economy by 2025 is definitely achievable.
