Himachal Pradesh is a role model for big states in administering 100% vaccination to its citizen: Piyush Goyal
Himachal Pradesh created history by becoming the first state to have vaccinated 100% of its adult population.
Shimla, September 25: With India reaching its pinnacle by administering Covid-19 vaccinations to its citizens, Himachal Pradesh created history by becoming the first state to have vaccinated 100% of its adult population. Appreciating the efforts taken by the government of Himachal Pradesh, Union Minister of Commerce & Industry, Consumer affairs Food and Public Distribution and textiles, Piyush Goyal lauded the state for its achievements in becoming first State of the Country in providing cent-percent first dose of Covid-19 vaccination to the eligible population besides ensuring food safety to the targeted groups.
This comes as the Union Minister was addressing Sewa Aur Samarpan Abhiyan at Totu-Jutogh in Shimla. Goyal said that the state made tremendous progress in each and every sector of development in the last 50 years after attaining its statehood. He further stated that Himachal Pradesh has come out as a role model for all other states and has shown a perfect direction to other big states as well.

Union Minister Piyush Goyal and HP Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur also visited vaccination centre Totu and interacted with the doctors, paramedical staff and the people who came for vaccination.
The Sewa Aur Samarpan Abhiyan was launched throughout India to celebrate the two decades of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in public services. Not only was this but, September 17, 2021, the birthday of Prime Minister Modi celebrated as Sewa Divas throughout the country and various welfare activities were being organized to mark the occasion.
