CIA Chief to meet Ajit Doval In New Delhi, to hold talks on Afghan crisis

This comes a day after the Taliban announced their new all-men cabinet comprising most wanted terrorists.

New Delhi, September 08: Amid the ongoing geopolitical crisis, American Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) chief William J Burns has come to New Delhi to meet Indian officials. This comes a day after the Taliban announced their new all-men cabinet comprising most wanted terrorists.

According to the reports, Willian J Burns is scheduled to meet National Security Advisor of India (NSA) Ajit Doval and several top officials in Delhi. The topic of discussion will be focused on the arising situation of Afghanistan.
 
 
After the meeting, Burns is going to Islamabad from here on Wednesday to meet Pakistan officials. 
 
 
 

Ironically Burns's visit to New Delhi comes at the time when Russian NSA Nikolay Patrushev is also in town for discussions on Afghanistan. It should be noted that India's National Security Advisor of India (NSA) Ajit Doval is holding a significant meeting with his Russian counterpart- Secretary of the Security Council General Nikolay Patrushev to discuss several issues arising from Afghanistan. The current developments also underscore India's importance and participation in the ongoing Afghanistan crisis.
 
 
Burns had last month visited Afghanistan to meet the Taliban leadership, including Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar.
