Joe Biden caught on mic cursing Fox News reporter over inflation question

Washington DC, Jan 25: After getting irked over a question about inflation, US President Joe Biden abruptly abused the Fox News journalist, Peter Doocy, while passing expletive-laden remarks on the hot microphone during an event at the White House. The clip of Biden’s remark quickly went viral on social media.

 

The incident took place at the end of a White House Competition Council meeting where officials provided an update on efforts to combat inflation, which recently hit 7%. After the meeting, when several reporters shouted out the questions, Fox News White House correspondent Peter Doocy also shouted out the question.

 

 

 

Doocy asked the president whether he thought inflation would be a "political liability" ahead of November's midterm elections. However, instead of answering, Biden abused him, while thinking his microphone was off.  Interestingly, Biden’s expletives are included in the official White House transcript.

 

It should be noted that this is not the first time. The episode marks the second hot mic moment for the president in recent days. Last week, Biden was heard mocking another reporter for a "stupid question" on why he was waiting on Russian President Vladimir Putin "to make the first move" in Ukraine.

 

 

Even last year, Biden apologised to a CNN reporter after snapping at one of her questions. As vice-president, Biden got caught on a hot mic telling Barack Obama, "This is a big fucking deal!" after he signed healthcare legislation.
