Pakistan senior diplomat Maleeha Lodhi, a certified liar on #Kashmir once again comes up with false claims

Maleeha Lodhi, former ambassador to the US, UK & UN, was in a limelight in 2017, when she shared an image of a scarred girl at the United Nations and said she was offering proof of "Indian brutality" in Kashmir. However, in huge humiliation and shame, the image turned out to be that of a 17-year-old Palestinian girl, taken in Gaza in 2014 by award-winning photographer Heidi Levine. The teenager had been injured by shrapnel in an Israeli attack NOT IN KASHMIR. One cannot even imagine what amount of humiliation this could have caused after spreading lies about India's Kashmir.

 

However, the Pakistani diplomat is once again busy in misleading the public for the same reason. Guess, they want fame through this! In an article published in Dawn, a Pakistani media agency, with the title "Assault on Kashmiri identity", she spoke of the fake news about forced bhajans taught in Kashmiri schools, Waqf Board, usage of Urdu language in Kashmir and of course Modi government! She has also claimed that Kashmir's Muslim identity is getting wiped out from the Valley.

 

 

Nonetheless, she was schooled by a columnist Sunanda Vashisht who called out the Pakistani diplomat for her lack of knowledge about Kashmir. In the article, Maleeha Lodhi says, "For the past 100 years or more, Urdu was the official language of J&K. But in 2020, India’s ruling party ended Urdu’s exclusive status by legislation that made Hindi, Kashmiri and Dogri official languages in J&K, in addition to Urdu and English."

 

Responding to this, Sunanda Vashisht said, "J&K contrary to what you tell yourselves in Pakistan is a multi ethnic, multi lingual region. There are plethora of languages, cultures and ethnicities. Urdu is NOT a language of Kashmir. Nobody in Kashmir speaks Urdu. It is as alien to Kashmir as German is to you. Urdu imposition as you rightly say in your piece is ‘100 years old’. Kashmir is a 5000 year old civilization. Unbroken civilizational chain of 5000 years. Clearly we were communicating before Urdu was imposed on us. Have you learnt nothing from your East Pakistan debacle?"

 

 

She also slammed the diplomat saying that, "Our languages are Kashmiri, Dogri, pahadi, ladakhi and many more dialects.Urdu is not one of them.Just because you think Urdu is a language of Muslims therefore Urdu should be imposed on Kashmir only tells your ignorance not just about Kashmir but also about subcontinent."

There was another lie about bhajan being forced in Kashmiri schools which was shared by Mehbooba Mufti. Vashisht said, "Bhajans are being taught to Muslim students in Kashmir is a lie. What they were taught is a Gandhian hymn and NOT a Hindu bhajan. Go check out the lyrics- ‘ishwar, Allah tero naam’ ..Why would you call this a Hindu prayer? It is not a Hindu bhajan."

 

 

When the Pakistani diplomat said that there are moved to chanfe the script of the Kashmiri language from Nastaliq to the Devanagriscript, Vashisht said, I have only learnt from @LodhiMaleeha that script of Kashmiri is being changed from nastaliq to Devanagari. I hope it is true. There is no such proposal right now. But we have been fighting for it. Kashmiri should be written in its original Sharda script."

 

With this, it is clear in every paragraph she has spoken only LIES, LIES and LIES about Kashmir! Initially, it was at the UN and now through a column. Even netizens slammed for being a certified liar!
