Bengaluru, October 07: It seems like that the Sonia Gandhi-led Congress realised that without following Veer Damodar Savarkar's ideology, their so-called 'Bharat Jodo Yatra' is not truly going to leave an impact on Indians.

After Kerala, the photo of the freedom fighter Veer Savarkar again appears on the poster of Congress' ongoing Bharat Jodo Yatra along with the picture of Rahul Gandhi. This incident took place on October 6 in Karnataka.

The poster in Mandya featured Savarkar along with pictures of Rahul Gandhi, Karnataka Congress chief DK Shivakumar, and former state chief minister Siddaramaiah.

The poster was attributed to Shanthi Nagar MLA Nalapad Ahmed Haris of the Congress Party. After the incident came to light, Haris tried to distance himself from the posters and blamed some miscreants for the poster.
"This is done by miscreants and not us. We will file a complaint in Mandya district," Haris said.

The issue come to light after the photos of the poster went viral on the social media platform. This incident has invited criticism from the BJP leaders.

Earlier, on September 21, a similar incident happened in Aluva, in the state of Kerala, where the Congress members had put up the poster of Veer Savarkar amid the Bharat Jodo Yatra. The said banner included pictures of almost all the freedom fighters, including Veer Savarkar, who has repeatedly been insulted by Rahul Gandhi and his party.

The Congress later claimed that it was a printing mistake, contending that it had wanted to use the pictures of freedom fighters and made an error.
