As we all have heard, read, and talked about, Om Raut’s Adipursh is postponed till June 2023. Many people are getting happy as the mass movement works out, and many people are raising questions. Why is it posted? Why has the date been changed? We would like to talk about the same.
When Aadipurush’s trailer was released it was extremely criticized because it hurt Hindu sentiments. The way they have shown Prabhu Shriram and especially Ravan and Hanuman, people were very disappointed and showed their anger all over social media. Here are the 4 reasons that Om Raaut and the team had to take viewers seriously and had to change the release date of this movie.
1. Mass Movement: As the trailer got released, criticism came from everywhere. No one, absolutely no one was happy with the trailer. Our generation has grown up watching Ramanand Sagar’s Ramayana and the way Ravas was shown on a bat and looking like a Mughal emperor instead of on Pushpak Viman, The way Hanumana was shown without Janeu and other Hindu symbols, And majorly the way Prabhu Rama was shown, was not liked by viewers. Hence the anger popped out and it became a mass movement in no time, which might be the reason behind such a huge step.
2. Hurting Hindu Sentiments: Gone are the days when Hindus were tolerant enough when actors and filmmakers mocked Hindu Dharma, now tables have turned, if anyone does anything against Hindu Sentiments, anger and disappointment are visible all over the internet. In this case, it was clearly visible. This could also be the reason behind the release date change. As it is said that the Adipurush team is investing another 100 Cr. INR to make these characters look better.
3. Audience Response: The way the audience is banning Bollywood movies these days, can scare any filmmaker if he is not getting a good response over a teaser or trailer. And the response filmmakers got on this trailer must be a nightmare for them. So this could be another reason why filmmakers are taking time to make changes in the final outcome of the movie.
4. Risk factor: Now if they release the way the movie is, can be a huge risk for the filmmakers. The audience is already unhappy and #BanAdipurush is already trending, so the Risk factor is huge for the filmmakers. So this could be another reason.
No matter what the reason is, Filmmakers are scared of this movie getting ban is clearly visible. And hence the release date must have been changed. Whatever it is, the mass movement has worked out and now the new release date for Adipurush is 16th June 2023. Let’s see what changes they make, and will the audience accepts it.
