Udaipur, December 23: The National Investigation Agency investigating the Kanhaiya Lal Teli murder case has filed a chargesheet against the 11 accused including two Pakistani nationals under various sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act. As per the NIA Pakistani nationals, Salman and Abu Ibrahim were the masterminds behind Kanhaiya Lal's murder.
As per the NIA, the 11 accused were part of the Pakistan-based terror module. Moreover, NIA claimed that both accused (Riyaz Attari and Mohammad Ghous ) were radicalised and were inspired by incriminating content circulated from within and outside the country.
For unreserved, Riyaz Attari and Mohammad Ghous brutally killed a Hindu tailor for supporting suspended Bharatiya Janata Party spokesperson Nupur Sharma's contentious remarks on Prophet Mohammad. More shockingly, they shot the heinous act and posted a video on social media. The duo even threatened PM Modi.
Attari is also said to be linked to a Karachi-based radical organisation Dawat-e-Islami. He along with co-accused Ghous Mohammed was called to Pakistan by senior functionaries of Dawat in 2014. At this point, it should be highlighted that Karachi-based Dawat-e-Islami's mission is to spread the teachings of the Quran and Shariah and advocates Shariah globally. It has a massive following in Pakistan and supports the blasphemy law there.
According to sources, the killing of Kanhaiyalal Teli in Udaipur was “meticulously planned” and “instigated” by a person in Pakistan identified as Salman bhai. "Salman Bhai," told Mohammad Gos that he “must do something spectacular” in response to the remarks on the Prophet since “peaceful protests will not yield any result”.
