Why target Hindu gods? Telangana leader Bairi Naresh uses derogatory remarks on Lord Ayyappa, devotees hold protest

It seems like making obscene remarks against the Hindu god has become the new trend among Indian liberals. In the latest incident, a day after Kerala's political party leader insulted Lord Ayyappa Swamy, Telangana's Dalit leader and head of ‘Bharata Nasthika Samajam’ Bairi Naresh, also passed derogatory comments against the same Hindu god.
 
He made this comment during the public gathering in the Kodangal constituency to hurt Hindu sentiments. The incident came to light after the video of the public gathering went viral on social media. The video has caused outrage across Telangana State. Many people have staged protests against Bairi Naresh.

Reports mention that some of the devotees reached the Hyderabad Police station and demanded action against Bairi Naresh.
 
 
 
The protest by the devotees was also held outside the Parigi Police Station in Vikarabad, seeking action against Naresh for disrespecting Hindu Gods and hurting the sensibilities of Ayyappa Swamy devotees. They also urged that the Preventive Detention (PD) Act be used against Naresh.
 
 
 
Meanwhile, the police have filed a complaint under section 153A of the Indian Penal Code Section 153A. (IPC). The report also suggests that Naresh was manhandled by Lord Ayyappa Swami devotees in Hyderabad. He was ultimately rescued by the Police. The video of the incident was shared by the local media.

Meanwhile, Bandi Sanjay, the state president of the Bharatiya Janata Party, criticized the governing Bharatiya Rashtra Samithi (BRS) administration and demanded action in the case.
