At a time when Kerala is already under fire over mounting rape cases, another horrendous crime has come to light in the communist state. In the latest shocking incident, a Muslim man brutally sexually abused a mentally challenged girl in front of her paralysed mother. The spine-chilling crime took place in Kerala’s Malappuram.
The accused has been identified as a ‘Muttalan’ Shihab. It is worth noting that he has previously been convicted on a variety of serious charges.Soon after the matter come to light, social media users started trending #JusticeForNirashraya.

As per the police, Shihab broke into the victim’s house at 2 pm on Wednesday and attacked the victim. The victim also tried to raise her voice however, Shihab covered his mouth and nose.
Though she managed to escape from his iron hands, the man followed her and brutally raped her in front of the mother. As per reports, the victim’s mother is bedridden due to serious health problems. He had also threatened to kill her if she disclose what happened to others.
