For the last 2 to 3 weeks, some Muslim girls in Karnataka have been protesting against colleges seeking permission to wear Hijab in colleges and schools. Amid these protests, some shocking reports revealed the Campus Front of India (CFI)'s role in provoking the Muslim girls has come to the fore. Apart from the CFI, the students' wing of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, the Students Islamic Organisation (SIO), is also playing an important role in misleading the students in the ongoing protest.

Hijab

Some Hijab-clad Muslim students have also accepted that the Notorious Student Wing of the radical Islamist outfit Popular Front of India, CFI, has been supporting them in the ongoing controversy.

Reports suggest that the government college, from where the "Hijab protest" began, has become a hub of the CFI's political activities. For the last 10 months, they have been carrying out their communal political event. As per the reports, the protesters (Muslim students) were in continuous contact with the radical Islamist outfit, CFI.

Even students also admitted that they started wearing the hijab in college only in December 2021, after realising that there was no particular rule banning the hijab in the college rulebook. Taking to the media, one student said, "Initially, when we joined the college, we thought that our parents had signed a form which barred the hijab, but though there is a form, there was no mention of the hijab in it. So, our parents met the college authorities thrice and requested them. But there was no response, so we decided to wear the hijab in school. This was in December (2021)."

She revealed that they approached the CFI after talks between parents, and the college authorities did not lead anywhere. Following that, CFI and SIO then took the issue to the Udupi Deputy Commissioner, Kurma Rao, on December 30.

"We are supporting the girls throughout this issue and we want them to be allowed to wear the hijab in their classrooms," Nazhat Assadi of the Campus Front of India in Udupi says.

A real mastermind

At this moment, it is worth pointing out, that a year ago Kerala journalists had revealed how radical Islamic organisations such as the Popular Front of India and Jamaat-e-Islami are receiving funds to promote Islamism in India. In a Clubhouse discussion, Kerala-based journalist MP Basheer had revealed details pertaining to the international funding to advance radical Islam in the country.
