Abu Dhabi Mar 29: A video showing actor Ranveer Singh dancing with Union Minister Anurag Thakur at Dubai Expo has gone viral on social media sites. The video was also shared by Union Minister Anurag Thakur on the social media platform.

 

Posting a video on the social media platform, Thakur wrote, "The power of Bollywood transcends barriers!" Thakur was at Dubai Expo to hold a conversation with Ranveer on 'The Global Reach of Indian Media & Entertainment Industry' at the India Pavilion.

In the video, Ranveer, dressed in a red sherwani, is seen jovially pulling Thakur towards him, and the two start dancing to the “Malhari” song from Singh’s 2015 epic historical romance film Bajirao Mastani, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. As the two started dancing, the crowd cheered for them enthusiastically.

 

During the event, the Union Minister spoke about the Indian film industry's contribution. “I feel by next year India should become the content subcontinent of the world... Language is not a barrier today. People across all sections of society are breaking into a song at the sound of India, it's a huge contribution of the Indian film industry,” Anurag Thakur said.

 

Ranveer Singh said that Indians abroad connect to India through films. "Indian entertainment is going to explode globally. Our stories resonate with people and transcend cultural boundaries and Indians abroad connect with India through films," the actor said at the event.
